Nitty-gritty ⋆ Sacred Earth Travel

Privacy, client satisfaction and disclaimer notice

Privacy

Sacred Earth Travel respects all privacy rights of individuals, who visit this site or make inquiries. We do not use cookies to collect data about our visitors, although wordpress and google analytics collect certain data for site statistics, to my knowledge none of it can be used to identify you personally.

We collect personal details only once you have decided to book a tour with us. At that point, we will send you a client information sheet, which will ask for your personal information that we need in order to secure the services you want us to arrange for you. Sometimes tour operators will also send their own client information sheets to ask for more details on your medical history and travel insurance etc., especially when you are booking adventure travel tours (e.g. hiking at high altitude, kayaking etc.).

We ask for contact information of your next of kin so that we may be able to contact them in case anything unforeseen and of a serious nature has happened while you were traveling (e.g. earthquake). The form specifically asks whether you agree to give feedback to other, potential clients after you have been on your trip. If you agree, we would contact you again in such a case to make sure you are still okay with that, before we pass your email out to the inquiring client, who would then contact you directly to ask you about your experience.

All client sheets are discarded after a year and the only thing we keep on record is the email exchange pertaining to your travel arrangements.

Once a year, at Christmas I take the time to say hello to former clients by sending everybody a Christmas greeting. If you don’t want to receive this, just let me know.

There are also some direct links to social media sites, such as facebook and twitter. Following these to connect with our facebook feed will pass information via these apps, but I have no control over how that is used or where it goes. You need to make the necessary adjustments in your privacy settings on facebook and twitter.
