Ecuador has a number of Eco-lodges in the Amazon Rainforest, most of them located on the edges of Yasuni National Park. In Ecuador, eco-lodges are often run either by indigenous groups or in close cooperation with the native inhabitants of the region in which they operate. There are far more lodges, than those mentioned here, and this list will grow in time.
Cotococha Lodge
This unique Amazon lodge is located in the upper Amazon basin overlooking the majestic Napo River. Because the Napo River has a low water level, you can take a refreshing swim or simply relax on the small sandy beach. The shore is also used as a dock for Cotococha’s canoe, where several of Ecuador’s Amazon tours depart.
Napo Wildlife Center
Napo Wildlife Center is one of the most beautiful Eco-lodges in the Ecuadorian Rainforest. This ecotourism project includes the conservation of approximately over 82 square miles (53,500 acres – over 21,400 hectares ) of the most pristine Amazon Rain Forest within the Yasuní National Park, an important UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and the largest tract of tropical rainforest in Ecuador.

But unlike other lodges, it also offers a special adventure – a longer, and more intimate experience, visiting the Huaorani People, where you can learn much about the lifestyles and challenges faced by the native people in this part of the Amazon. 5d, 6d or 7d expeditions are available for minimum of 2participants.
